Great Opportunities Through Our Local Park and Rec

While this isn’t a “job opportunity,” it could certainly lead to one for your teens and tweens.  Sign your 11-17 year old kids up for the City of Rocklin Babysitting for Beginners class Nov. 5th, where they can learn the skills needed to be trusted and responsible babysitters! Enroll here: https://bit.ly/3ZEr23o Some of my grandkids have taken a similar class where they live, as did my kids, and they were always a great investment of time!

Lincoln CA parks and rec is offering a similar class on November 4 for 10-16 year olds. You can read the details on page 12 of their current park and rec guide – just click here.

Roseville also offers a similar class but theirs was in September. So keep a close eye out when the new Parks and Recreation guide comes out for spring and you might spot one for spring? Otherwise next fall! 😀

New To Our Area News

I just saw that Electric Pickle, whose Roseville location would be the first in California, is planned for a summer 2024 opening. WOOHOO – I know a lot of my fellow pickle ball-loving friends and I are looking forward to that!

According to the Sacramento Business Journal, “Dutch Bros Coffee is taking over a former fast-food restaurant space in Rocklin, which will be larger than what most fans of the franchise are used to seeing.” It looks like it will be going into the “former Del Taco space at 4610 Sierra College Blvd. in Rocklin….and will include both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a drive-thru.” Not only that – it sounds like Dutch Bros is also planning on another Rocklin location AND a Lincoln location. Dutch Bros is a family favorite so that sounds great to us! 😀

California Dreamin’ Entertainment Inc., the new lessee of the former Raging Waters, located in Cal Expo,  has signed a licensing deal with Chuck E. Cheese. So now there will be water fun, pizza fun, and game fun all wrapped up into one. Doesn’t THAT sound interesting! 😀
