Happy New Year! How was your holiday season? Were you able to enjoy any of the great options we had in Roseville and the surrounding area for 2016? And are you already looking forward to 2017 fun things to do in Roseville?
I had a ton of fun with so many great friends (including Linda Mar-Veiga of Lambert Funeral Home in the photo above). I enjoyed several delightful events this year including the Family Fest right before Halloween, the Besana Holiday Parade (otherwise known as the Christmas Parade), the Christmas Tree Grove and Gingerbread House Events during the Downtown Roseville Holiday Celebration, two Neighborhood holiday parties and RCONA’s Santa in the Park! Not to mention some fun post-election parties. Speaking of which, congrats again to all the newly elected Roseville and Placer County officials – including Scott Alvord (below with Santa Claus), a good friend from RCONA. Whew!!!!! Couple that with working hard with my real estate clients and projects and this was DEFINITELY a busy and FUN season!
Yup! I’m definitely looking forward to 2017 fun things to do in Roseville. Here are some SAVE THE DATES info for us:

“I Love the 80s” Fun Run is scheduled for May 7, 2017 starting at Vernon Street Town Square. Doesn’t this look like fun!!! (And while they aren’t yet showing up, I’m guessing the 4th of July fun run and the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot will be happening in 2017 as well! I had a great time handing out water to the runners on the 4th, followed by the always-delightful 4th of July parade!)
Movies in the Park, sponsored by RCONA, will be back on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of June, July, and August at various parks throughout Roseville. Free movies and fun times in the park with your Roseville neighbors. Locations and movies to be announced at a later date. (One fun insider tip – if things go as planned, the first event this summer should be at the newly renamed Jack Wallace Park at Cresthaven. 🙂 )
National Night Out (NNO) is truly a national event that is well embraced in Roseville and throughout the greater Sacramento valley area. It’s a time for neighbors to come out in the evening and get to know each other while enjoying various fun activities throughout Roseville. Most events in our area are held at a local park while others may be in a neighbor’s front yard. Whatever form it takes, it is generally held on the first Tuesday of the month. This year that is August 1, 2017. Check with your local neighborhood association around June-ish for more details. Click here to find your neighborhood association.
Santa in the Park, sponsored by RCONA, is on the second Saturday of each December at Mahany Park in West Roseville CA. This year that will be December 9, 2017. It’s a fun time of crafts, music, free goodies (in 2016, we enjoyed pizza, cookies, and more), free photos with Santa, not to mention other cool characters. This year, that included the police department’s McGruff, the fire department’s Sparky, and the lovely and elegant Elsa. Too fun! More details to come later in the year. Be sure to come. You’ll LOVE it.
