Sweet and Crafty Memories
One of the great joys of my life are the tons of fun memories of crafty activity times with my grandkids as we enjoyed making crafts of all kinds. Spring flower card crafts and summer water and bubble ideas. And autumn and winter are always FULL of all sorts of creative crafts from scarecrows to foam gingerbread houses to Christmas ornaments and more! We have thoroughly enjoyed them. I’m happy to say, my grandkids are all doing a wonderful job at making lovely craft projects on their own now. And boy, have they left me behind in the dust with their skills! Something I’m eminently proud of! Although they’ve assured me they are still looking forward to our next set of crafty project plans.
Crafty Confessions
True confession, though. I am NOT great at crafting. I figure I’m about at a second grade level of excellence. Well, maybe 8th grade for crocheting. 😉 Fortunately, I discovered computers when they were fairly new and now I enjoy most of my crafting on my Mac, turning words and pictures into fun creations and blogs. But that’s OK. We can still have fun with craft projects, even if theirs are looking WAY better than mine. 🙂
Crafty Alternatives
Fortunately for those who, like me, are a bit short on great crafting skills – or time, there are several craft and quilt shows happenings all around Roseville and the greater Sacramento area.
All the Crafts Shows I’ve listed below are now a sweet memory. But they are a grand resource for next year’s research. And in the meantime, you can still have crafts and holiday fun.

More Crafty Joys?
I’m still pondering what crafty plans to come up with for my grandkids. Perhaps I’ll try another popsicle stick Nativity. They enjoyed that! Or maybe I’ll find some new ideas at one of these craft shows. Speaking of which, if you know or are involved with any others crafty craft shows, we’d love to hear and share them. Do message me at Facebook, email me at Kaye@KayeSwain.com or leave a comment with a link at my Facebook page – RosevilleCaliforniaJoys. 🙂
