Easter 2015 is almost here and there is a TON of stuff going on all over Placer and Sacramento County in California from Easter Egg Hunts to musical performances to special services and activities at many churches. This isn’t intended to be an exhaustive list. It’s mainly a list of things I’m aware of due to friends, neighbors, and grandkids interests. Enjoy! And have a blessed Easter!
EASTER EGG HUNTS
Always popular with so many – young and old alike – and there are plenty of options, though they aren’t always easy to track down. Here are some of the highlights:
- Bayside Easter Egg Hunt at the Galleria – April 4, 2015 10:00am – 1:00pm
- Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 4th at 4 pm at Chilton Middle School sponsored by Life Community Church
- Largest Egg Hunt in the World in Sacramento CA on April 4th, 9-1, (And NO, I don’t know if that’s the actual truth, but it does sound intriguing. 🙂
- Auburn’s 3rd Annual Bunny Hop on April 4th – 11-1:30 pm – 530-888-7355 – Streets of Old Town Auburn – Auburn, CA 95603
- Woodcreek Golf Club in West Roseville, CA 95747 has an Easter Egg Hunt – April 4 from 9 am – 2 pm with the actual hunt at 11:30 am
- Flower Farm Nursery – April 4th at 11 am at 9280 Horseshoe Bar Road, Loomis, CA 95650 916 705-1325
- Sacramento, CA – A couple more in and around the city including Fairy Tale Town
- Rocklin, CA‘s website says they have an annual Easter Egg Hunt – Questions? Contact Fire at 916.625.5300
- The Kiwanis Club of Granite Bay is starting earlier than most in more ways than one – with a pancake breakfast at 8 am and an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 am – Rain or Shine – at Cavitt Junior High School, 7200 Fuller Drive, Granite Bay CA and it’s all free – Call 916-704-6151 for more info
- Active 20-30 Club #36’s 6th Annual Free Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday, April 4, 2015, 9 am at the HC Elliott Park, 1421 Cushendall Dr. Roseville, CA PLUS a sock drive to help local kids and teens.

EASTER TREATS OF SIGHT AND SOUND
The Thorn – The Thorn is a fast-paced and intense portrayal of the passion of Jesus (An important caveat – it may not be appropriate for some children.) Destiny Christian Church, 6900 Destiny Dr, Rocklin, CA, March 27-29, 2015 Tickets are $15-$49. It sounds awesome! 🙂
