April 6: The Utility Exploration Center is hosting an open house at 10:15am – 4pm as they celebrate a significant milestone —”the UEC Reimagined. After two years of planning and construction, the Utility Exploration Center (UEC) that opened in the early 2000s has undergone a complete rehaul.” There will be a ceremony at about 10:15 am followed by refreshments and then you can explore the revamped museum at Mahany Park. 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd, Roseville, CA, United States, California 95747.  They are requesting your help with the planning – please RSVP to let them know you will be there. April 11: Food Truck Mania – Food Trucks return to Vernon Street Town Square, 311 Vernon St., Roseville CA Thursday April 11 from 5pm – 8pm so you can enjoy the monthly mobile food event on the 2nd Thursday of each month. “These mobile food trucks are coordinated by SactoMoFo and are the best in the area.”

APRIL 15: Taxes are due and/or your tax extension is due! 😀

April 15: Be Well Roseville- Tax Your Muscles Outdoor Bootcamp – Roseville will help ease your stress OVER taxes with this mega workout for 14 years and over – Meet at the Maidu Park Outdoor Fitness Court for a full body workout. April 17: FYI – Dinner On The Bridge IS SOLD OUT

April 27: BikeFest from 9am – noon at the Vernon Street Town Square, 311 Vernon Street, Roseville CA – Free! Bring your bicycle and bike helmet to the 31st annual family bike safety event. Enjoy the bike obstacle course, riding demonstrations, helmet fittings, and free bicycle safety checks from local bike shops. Kids receive prizes (while supplies last – so best to go early) and participants have a chance to win a bicycle!

April 27: Senior Prom (50+)  – Reservations are required for this and YES! There is still plenty of room. So click here NOW and then click the ENROLL NOW button to get your tickets for the Senior (50+) Prom from 5pm – 8pm. Enjoy a memorable and elegant evening of food, dancing and priceless memories. Ticket includes plated gourmet meal, drink ticket, and raffle entry. Evening concludes with the crowning of our very own king and queen. Meal options include tri tip & vegetables, chicken marsala or a pasta vegetarian dish. JUNE 8: Yes, this is quite early! But it could save you some money for the RSVL Blaster Blitz from 10:00am-1:00pm at the Mahany All Weather Field, 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd. This event is for the whole family. There will be music, thrilling challenges, vendors, delicious food and the most epic showdown you’ve ever seen. The first 100 people to sign up will receive a special discounted price of $15 for an individual ticket or $55 for a family four pack. Get your tickets before prices increase.  BUT FYI – no refunds for ticketed events

Fun Things to Do in Rocklin CA

April 12: EVENINGS IN THE PARK is at Quarry Park, 5373 Pacific St, Rocklin, CA 95677.  “Step into the rhythm of community spirit at Evenings in the Park – where the parks come alive with music, laughter, and boundless joy!” Enjoy local talent, enticing food trucks, and the vibrant energy of artisan vendors showcasing their finest crafts. RUN ROCKLIN at the Johnson-Springview Park, 5480 5th St, Rocklin, CA 95677 The 21st annual Run Rocklin event will be hosting a 5k, 10k, and 1/2 marathon, plus a free kids dash and free kids 1 mile. This is a community event for health, wellness and fund raising.  Benefiting the Matt Redding Foundation, local schools and other non-profit organizations.

April 27: Rocklin CA Civic Celebration  will include Bounce Houses, Food Trucks, Cool fire and police trucks and cars to explore, fireworks (at 8), and MORE. This will also be held at Johnson-Springview Park, 5480 5th St., Rocklin, CA 95677 from 4pm – 9pm. Click here for all the details.


Fun Things to Do in Lincoln CA

April 4: Enjoy the 3rd Sunset Market Series from 4:00pm to 7:30pm with Artisan Vendors and Street Food and it’s all at McBean Park, 65 McBean Park Dr, Lincoln, CA 95648!

April 20: “The Big Dill” is Lincoln’s grand opening celebration of their McBean Park Pickleball Courts, 65 McBean Park Dr, Lincoln, CA 95648,  from 10am – 2pm. The celebration will offer demos, clinics, tournaments, skills challenges, youth game zone, food trucks, vendors and a court reservation launch. HOORAY for MORE PICKLEBALL FUN! I LOVE pickleball so I love when I hear of new pickleball courts in our area, for sure! 😀🏓

City Clean Up Days

Roseville Annual Clean Up Days

It’s time to start preparing for the Roseville City Clean Up Days. This is a great chance for Roseville residents to kick that spring cleaning into high gear by participating in a complimentary spring clean-up organized by the City of Roseville AND the Roseville Coalition of Neighborhood Associations. The 2024 Spring clean-up days are scheduled on these specific Saturdays from 8am to 2pm at the following locations:

  • April 6: Saugstad Park, 100 Buljan Drive
  • April 20: Bridgeway Church, 8150 Industrial Avenue
  • May 4: St John’s Church, 2351 Pleasant Grove Blvd
  • May 18: Bridgeway Church, 8150 Industrial Avenue

Handy Tips including what TO bring and what NOT to bring!

  • Assemble your unwanted items the night before, ensuring that they only include acceptable materials. See this list for unacceptable items.
  • Items not accepted at the clean-up events can be delivered to the Western Placer Waste Management Authority Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) for a fee. Visit for details, fees, and hours of operation.
  • You can also schedule a doorstep pick up of some Household Hazardous Waste and e-waste. Visit this web page for details.


Rocklin Clean Up Day

April 20 – Rocklin will be having a clean up day from 7:30 am – 3pm. And great news – “Items will be collected that normal trash collections will not take, INCLUDING  electronic waste.” For more details AND detailed list of what they will AND will NOT accept, go to

  • You must unload your own trash into dumpster | Help will be available for heavy items.
  • Required: Driver’s License or utility bill for proof of residency

  • Sierra College, Overflow parking lot on Rocklin Road & El Don
  • City of Rocklin Corporation Yard, 4081 Alvis Ct. (Open until 3:30)

Rocklin Clean Up Day 2024

And KUDOS to Rocklin for a special outreach to help elderly and disabled with a pick-up service. For that:

Items will be collected that normal trash collections will not take, including electronic waste. All pickup items shall be placed curbside for pickup, staff will NOT enter homes to retrieve items. Pick-up times will be between 8:00am and 3:00pm. Call Public Services at 916-625-5500 to make arrangements. THE DEADLINE to request a pick up is 4:00 pm on Thursday, April 18th.

The following items are NOT allowed for pick-up service:

  • No concrete
  • No animal waste
  • No pool chemicals

Lincoln CA Clean Up Vouchers

Lincoln CA has a great clean up option as well, yet different. They are offering Clean Up Vouchers. Per their website, “To better serve our residents, the City of Lincoln is offering a more convenient and efficient way to help our customers with cleanup of their excess waste and unwanted bulky items through the issuance of a one-yard dump pass to Lincoln residents.

This option will allow customers to dispose of one cubic yard of waste at the dump for free at their convenience from April 1, 2024 thru June 30, 2024. The local material recovery facility is just a couple miles away at 3195 Athens Avenue and is open 7 days a week, offering more options and flexibility for all schedules.
