Did you know that Today.com has “64 Veterans Day food deals: Free meals, coffee and more” for around the country. Military.com has several too . And both have Applebees on their lists 😊 I also spotted Cattlemen’s (only their California locations), Cracker Barrel and MORE ! KUDOS to ALL the participating restaurants!

Roseville Quilt Show
Today is the Pioneer Quilters’ Guild’s Quilting Show that I mentioned in this blog a while back – click here to see that post with even more local quilt shows and news in Roseville Sacramento area.
The Pioneer Quilters Guild is hosting their annual quilt show and sale at Mahaney Park in the Fitness Center (Formerly known as Roseville Sports Center)
TODAY – Saturday November 11, 2023 10AM to 4PM
They will have quilts to admire AND quilts for sale and a boutique of high quality handmade goods perfect for holiday shopping!
Their proceeds go directly to their Community Service efforts to supply handmade quilts, pillowcases, placemats, holiday stockings, and premie blankets to local hospitals and organizations in our community. This event also funds the guild’s continuing education in fabric arts and more.

Holiday Happening News in Roseville CA Area Coming Up
Tis the season for various government offices to close for the holidays. And some take a longer time off than normal – such as before or between Christmas and New Year’s. Here are two sets of closure info I discovered:
Water Wise Gardening Class
THIS doesn’t start til February so – technically – it’s not really “holiday happening news in Roseville CA area” BUT there are currently 55 spots AND as I recall, these spots sell out FAST, so make your reservations now. AND AFTER ALL, this class could make a delightful and unique Christmas gift to someone special – including for YOU 😊
Green Gardener at Home Multi-Week Series at Mahany Park.
Are you wondering how to have a fabulous garden with curb appeal AND use less water? Do you want to prepare your gardens for extreme weather and weather resilience? This class will teach you about the Watershed-Wise approach! Enjoy classes with local landscape pros and learn environmentally-friendly, easy-care practices for thriving trees and plants that support an abundance of garden life. For regionally-specific garden wisdom and practices, the Green Gardener at Home class is the definitive source. This series includes seven two-hour classes and three optional hands-on demonstration sessions. Class meets every Thursday from 6-8 pm from February 1-February 15, with two weeks off, and then will resume from March 7- March 28. ROCKLIIN HISTORY MUSEUM NEWS
There is a cool new historical society exhibit at the Rocklin History Museum which is located at 3895 Rocklin Road. It’s open Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4pm
