Curbside Leaf Pickup Season
The Good News About Leaf Pickups
Woohoo – it’s not JUST the season of Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is now, officially, the season of autumn leaves AND autumn curbside leaf pickup – GREAT autumn news in Roseville CA. From November 1, 2023 through January 19, 2024, the City of Roseville provides free curbside leaf pickup service to help prevent fallen front yard leaves from clogging stormwater drains and washing into our creeks and streams, disturbing the sensitive ecological balance and threatening plants and wildlife.
The Caveats
There are exeptions – in Roseville, leaves cannot be removed from commercial properties, gated, or private communities.
Also, please keep in mind that the Public Works crews cannot pick up any bags that contain other green waste, branches, rocks, animal waste, or metal. If a bag contains ANY unacceptable materials, crews will place a notice on your door and leave the bag(s) in front of the residence for you to remove.
The How-Tos
HOW to determine whether bagged or loose leaf pickup is available in your area:
Click here OR on the map below and it will take you to a page that lets you input your address and then tells you if your home is eligible for bagged leaf pickup or if you can just rake the leaves into the street for the “leaf cleaning machine” to scoop them up. AND it gives you all the details you need to know. 😀🍁🍂
It’s Not Just Roseville CA!
I did some research and found this info for other cities in our area. They don’t all have dates but do seem to be current. However, you can call your department that handles this to confirm that. 😀
