“These 21 eye-catching new restaurants just opened around Sacramento, from soups to sushi!” With a headline like that on the Sacramento Bee article, I HAD to read it, And guess what! Roseville has THREE on that list! Read the article here! Or visit them directly:

Clean Juice is located at 4191 Thrive Drive, Suite 130 in Roseville . This North Carolina-based organic juice bar’s menu includes panini, wraps, açaí bowls and salads.
Sisters Thai Kitchen is at 2000 Blue Oaks Blvd., Suite 140 in Roseville.
The Grove Coffee House is found at 9260 Sierra College Blvd., Suite 100. This cafe features various coffee drinks and seasonal sandwiches that feature breads from the Grateful Bread Bakery.

ROADWORK – LOCAL NEWS FOR ROSEVILLE CA AREA FROM AUBURN ON DOWN TO THE 50

I spotted LOTS of announcements for road work coming to our area. To be honest, the info was a bit confusing to me. So I’m sharing the basics and links for you to dig up more if it applies to you. 😀

In Roseville – IF you take Baseline to the airport for early or late flights OR head to Sacramento via 99 – you will want to READ THIS!!! Road work will temporarily close Baseline Road between Fiddyment Road and Watt Avenue from Wednesday, Oct. 11 through Friday, Oct. 13. The work will occur overnight, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Please choose an alternate route, or follow detour signs and use Walerga Road, PFE Road, and Watt Avenue. Allow extra travel time.

Various ramp closures expected along I-80 starting Sunday in Placer County and they are expected to go til Thursday – October 8 – 13, 2023! It’s all part of a $1 million project to prevent wrong-way drivers on the highway. CalTrans will be actively working on them nightly from 7pm – 5am. The reports I found refer to them doing 53! And I’m not sure if they are doing all 53 this week or if there will be more closures to come. So watch the road signs and drive safe y’all!

In the opposite direction, “As part of an ongoing project on U.S. Highway 50 (US-50) from the
Interstate 5 connector to 0.8 mile east of Watt Avenue in Sacramento, Caltrans is
alerting motorists of extended ramp closures starting this weekend.
Long-term closures are scheduled at the 10th Street exit and 15th Street onramp on
westbound US-50 for concrete pavement work. Click here for a long detailed message all about this.

Eclipse 2023 – Local News For Roseville CA

Happy Almost Eclipse 2023! Have you heard, yet, that there is an eclipse coming on October 14? I haven’t heard about it as much as I did about the 2017 eclipse when I wrote an article about it – Solar Eclipse Fun In Roseville CA and Beyond. Still and all, it’s an interesting event I’m sure many of us are interested in – including NASA – here’s a pre-eclipse video from them.

If I understand them correctly, we may see a portion of the eclipse but not the “ring of fire.” If you do try to watch it, be sure you do so safely – Click here for some good tips.

I just spotted a mega warning for the upcoming new sale at Amazon! “Rossen Reports: Amazon issues urgent warning about this new scam” They’ve got several important warnings including “The top scam this year is the “‘Suspicious Activity Scam.'” The scammer sends you an email or text, saying they have suspended or deleted your account due to suspicious activity. They’ll want you to verify your account by giving away your login and password or your payment information. DON’T DO IT!!!! ALWAYS go straight to the actual site, log in normally AND THEN CHECK!
