Sacramento Roseville CA News About Weather and A Fave Weather Man

Happily, though, in my news hunt, I discovered something quite interesting. Did you hear that Mark Finan retired from KCRA weather? Me too! BUT if you are also a fan of his, that does NOT mean he is totally gone. He’s doing periodic updates on his YouTube channel. Check this out from July 3, 2024:

It looks like he started the channel around February 2023 from his “home weather station.” Very cool. AND he may also be sharing fun and interesting travel videos – like this one from Ireland.

An exciting new chapter for him – and for his fans! Enjoy!

Cave Stores in Roseville AND Citrus Heights

Last autumn, Roseville welcomed a new store – The Cave – at the Fairway Creek Shopping Center, 9200 Fairway Dr #140, Roseville, CA 95678. They also have locations in Folsom and Arden. AND NOW, they have an outlet store in Citrus Heights in the Greenback Square Shopping Center at 8085 Greenback Lane near Fair Oaks Boulevard.

Sounds like very interesting stores with fascinating products including, per the Sacramento Business Journal, “anime, toys, video games, records and comics, in addition to men’s and women’s apparel. Some items are new but most of its inventory is pre-owned.”

And as this reel below explains, the Citrus Heights location has all their overstock and everything there is 50% off! ZOWIE! Per the Citrus Heights Sentinel, “The new store boasts several racks of men’s and women’s apparel, barrels of DVDs, Blu-rays, and VHS tapes, plus pop culture toys, along with a large collection of bobbleheads and in-the-box action figures.” Hmmmm, I wonder if they have LEGOs and other brick sets? 😀

  • Sad news – Mod Pizza may be filing for bankruptcy. I really enjoyed the pizza I had there a while back. Guess I’d better hurry to have one again in case they close. Per The Street, “The Seattle-based pizza chain, which operates over 500 locations nationwide and in Canada, has closed 27 restaurants this year, including five in California just before the state’s minimum wage law raised fast-food workers’ pay from $16 to $20 on April 1.”
