Play Pickleball Roseville CA Style
I read about pickleball YEARS ago. I wrote about pickleball YEARS ago. I have told people about pickleball for YEARS. I have NEVER played pickleball! BUT I have a sweet friend and fellow KW real estate agent who plays pickleball all the time with her husband! And soon, they are going to teach ME to play pickleball. I am so ready to play pickleball Roseville CA – style! But first I needed to answer some questions for myself.
Pickleball Questions
My first question – when writing about pickleball do I capitalize it all the time or only at the beginning of a sentence. More importantly, is it one word or two?ย For that matter, what are the rules for pickle ball???? Happily I found the answers to all three of these questions at the same place – USA Pickle Ball – home of the USA Pickleball Association which is the national governing body for the sport of pickleball in the US and provides players with official rules, tournaments, rankings and promotional materials. They provided a full set of rules as well as informing me that it is one word and only capitalized at the beginning of a sentence (or in a proper name like “USA Pickleball Association ๐).
From them I also got a fun new “corny joke” for my grandkids along with an interesting news video – “PickleBall is Becoming a Really Big Dill!” And notice that pickleball is referred to as the “fastest growing sport in America!” ๐
Happily, I can postpone the whole equipment question since I will be borrowing my friends’ equipment for this first game. After that, I am counting on Amazon to help me pick.

Bottom Line for Pickleball in Roseville CA Area
We do have lots of interesting and varied choices. And this is one of those times where it may not be bad to have to wait for a pickleball court to open up, as you might find some new Pickleball players to join up with.ย So I guess it’s time for me to find the basic pickleball rules play guide (I think I’ll also check out some youtube pickleball rules videos) and actually learn this game. Then it’s off to play with Tamarraw and see how well I do at it.
Then I can’t wait to teach my grandkids! Because this is a great game for all ages! AND a great way to explore some more of our delightful Roseville California Joys! ๐
P.S. Our county and our state are starting to open up but some of the above places may still be unavailable due to covid quarantine restrictions so be sure to call in advance if that’s an option – especially for the indoor courts and the retirement communities.

I started playing Pickleball in June and now I’m going crazy with the weather, not being able to playing. Where can we play indoors during the winter, that doesn’t break the bank?
Hi Karrie – that’s a great question. Courtside used to but I don’t know if they still do – their phone number is 1-916-253-5999. Also – here is a link for the larger area around us and it mentions some indoor options – with phone numbers so you can confirm. I suspect covid has made that more challenging. https://www.places2play.org/city/sacramento-california Let us know if you discover any great options. We’d love to hear ๐ — Kaye
