Isn’t that a fun quote by Dennis Quaid? I suspect many of us in the midst of moving, whether long-distance or local, don’t seek the best burger right away. McDonald’s and Carl’s Jr. are my usual go-to places when I’m in a hurry. Which is great with my senior mom who loves both their bacon burger sandwichesl But once settled, finding the best burger place is definitely top of the list.
I remember when we first moved to Roseville CA over 20 years ago, checking out the various options. Back then, there weren’t nearly as many as we have now. There was no mall, no stores and restaurants around the mall, nothing much in West Roseville beyond Pleasant Grove, etc. It’s been fun and exciting watching this sweet railroad and roses town grow up along with our kids.
Now? There are TONS of great choices. I checked with several dear friends and relatives and ONE burger place was on ALL our lists. Can you guess which restaurant it is? Keep reading….
My Favorite Roseville CA Burgers
My personal favorites (not counting the aforementioned top choice of all of us) include:
Red Robin – I love their Bleu Ribbon Burger with Bleu Cheese. Yummmm! They are located in the Creekside Town Center across from the Westfield Galleria in Roseville at 1184 Galleria Blvd. Roseville, CA 95678 – 916-788-0211 – in the same shopping center as one of my fave resources for my grandkids – Michael’s Crafts Store.
Chili’s – While they have some great and very flavorful “craft burgers,” my personal favorite is their classic burger for those days when I just want a good old-fashioned burger. (I also love that I can get these at a wide variety of airports across the country for those days when I want something to eat that I KNOW I can trust to be tasty and not too spicy!). The Roseville Chili’s is located in West Roseville (though I remember when they had one in East Roseville 🙂 ) at 10585 Fairway Dr., Roseville, CA 95678 – 916-780-1907
Islands Restaurant – This California-based restaurant also has a bleu cheese hamburger I like – the BleuNami along with a great island-y atmosphere that reminds me of trips to see my senior parents in Hawaii when they lived there for a few years. 🙂
Dairy Queen – I love their classic burger with just catsup, mustard, pickles, lettuce, and tomato. A simple sandwich that hits the spot. (Of course, the Chocolate Extreme Blizzard or other special deals I get with it is also a sweet delight! 🙂 ) There is a free-standing store in Central Roseville near Downtown Roseville at 912 Douglas Blvd, Roseville CA 95678 as well as a mall store at the Westfield Galleria in Roseville.
I could probably come up with a few other faves, but these are my main go-to burgers.
Favorite Hamburgers of Friends and Family
I checked online and off and have a few more Roseville, CA faves to add:
Monk’s Cellar is in the heart of Downtown Roseville CA and is known, among other things, for their seasonal pub fare as well as a great hamburger.Their address is 240 Vernon St, Roseville, CA 95678 – 916-786-6665.
Habit – A fellow agent at my Keller Williams’ Realty office picked this in addition to one other and I have to confess, it’s brand new to me. I’m looking forward to checking it out. I can tell you right now, from looking at the menu, my senior mom’s fave will be the BBQ Bacon Charburger! You can find it in Roseville at 933 Pleasant Grove Blvd, Roseville CA 95678 – 916-791-5292.
Five Guys – I’ve eaten at their restaurant once and loved it as do friends and family locally AND long distance. I appreciate the wide variety of toppings they offer. They are found at 8620 Sierra College Blvd., Suite 150, Roseville, CA 95661, 916-787-1555
That’s a great tip I look forward to following up on from Lyndsay Wilkin (a dear friend and great client AND fellow writer and editor!)
La Provence is in West Roseville close to the Silverado-Eskaton patio homes and down the street from two more great 55+ master planned communities, Sun City Roseville and The Club At Westpark by Del Webb – 110 Diamond Creek Place Roseville CA 916-789-2002
Paul Martin’s American Grill is in East Roseville at 1455 Eureka Road, Roseville, CA 95661 916 783-3600

The TOP WINNER – that was on EVERYONE’s List? Drumroll Please…
The quote above is by Thomas Keller, “an American chef, restaurateur, and cookbook writer. He and his landmark Napa Valley restaurant, The French Laundry in Yountville, California, have won multiple awards.” And HE likes In-N-Out too!
My personal fave at In-N-Out is the Single hamburger, while my kids go more for the cheese and their guys for the cheese AND the doubles. And isn’t it nice to know we have TWO of them in Roseville – 10309 Fairway Dr. Roseville, CA 95678, 1-800-786-1000 AND 1803 Taylor Roseville, CA 95661, 1-800-786-1000
