Time to check out what’s happening in and around Roseville CA including Lincoln, Rocklin, Citrus Heights and even some Sacramento news with the Roseville California news update 4-23-23.
SAD BUSINESS NEWS
My mom and I LOVED shopping at Bed Bath and Beyond. So sorry to hear this latest news from one of my fave resources, TheCrazyCouponLady– “Bed Bath & Beyond is closing down ALL stores. While you can expect deeply-discounted inventory, you only have today and tomorrow to use any coupons. Additionally, all sales are final starting Wednesday and gift cards will only be accepted through May 8 — so use ‘em up!” For more details, click here , and here – which indicates some hope??? BUT I wouldn’t take a chance on gift cards and coupons, that’s for sure.
NEW BUSINESSES AND BUILDINGS COMING
KAISER EUREKA IN ROSEVILLE
Kaiser Eureka is continuing to grow. According to the Sacramento Bee, Kaiser’s plans “include a six-floor hospital tower at the Roseville Medical Center, adding 138 hospital beds and 36 emergency department beds. The tower also will house six operating rooms, a pharmacy, and additional imaging and diagnostics. This 272,000-square-foot structure will eliminate some parking spaces, so Kaiser is building a parking garage with 803 stalls. The project, which also includes offsite parking, is expected to be completed by 2027.” Very exciting. Here’s an ABC10 video on this.
SIERRA COLLEGE ROCKLIN
Not only that! Sierra College in Rocklin just recently broke ground on new affordable student housing for up to 350 students come 2025, per Roseville Today! “Through careful planning, the monthly rent for most students will be substantially below market rate for the area.” I’m very proud of my alma mater! 😀 (Yup, I earned an AA in Real Estate there.)
HINTS THAT THE NORTH FACE IS COMING TO THE ROSEVILLE MALL
The Sacramento Business Journal says that they are hearing The North Face is planning on opening a store in the Westfield Galleria at Roseville. A Reddit reader said they heard it may go in where the Disney store used to be. And I spotted a help wanted ad for the manager. So it definitely sounds promising.
ROSEVILLE JUNCTION CHANGES STARTING THIS SUMMER
A while back, I mentioned exciting changes coming to Roseville Junction – right next door to the Roseville Galleria. Things are progressing there as well. According to the Sacramento Business Journal, they expect ground breaking activities to start this summer with a goal of some grand opening fun to arrive in 2024!
My weather app is happily predicting another week of 80s! Sounds like a great week to take a stroll and smell some roses. Perfect timing for the 75th Annual Sacramento Rose Show, Saturday, April 29, 2023, 1=4:30 pm at the Shephard Garden and Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd., Sacramento. And it’s free admission. Many thanks to Sacramento Digs Gardening for the heads up! 😀🌹
