Roseville Christmas Events 2022

It’s time for my annual round-up of fun and exciting Roseville Christmas Events 2022! And frankly, this is only SOME of the fun! Check back here at Roseville California Joys and at my other sites for more info through the season. Now on to the fun…
Bayside Adventure Christmas Lights Drive Thru 2022
It’s time for the 7th annual Christmas Lights Drive-Thru at Bayside Adventure, 6401 Stanford Ranch Road, Roseville, CA 95678! Enjoy a night of dazzling lights paired with your favorite Christmas music! “Pack up the whole family and prepare to be immersed in music and lights, all from the comfort of your own car. It’s a holiday tradition your family will love!” This is always a holiday highlight for many of all ages – from young toddlers (like my grand-toddlers in years past) to grandmas and grandpas and MORE! Here’s a taste of it:
Bayside has started the ticket release. This year they are releasing one week at a time at 8am the Sunday morning a week before the date of the tickets. You can get all the details AND check for tickets (there are still some available for next Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and the last time slot on Friday (but those are school nights,) subject to change any second. 😊 Just click here. I know my not-grand-toddlers-any-more-they-are-BIG-BOYS-NOW are looking forward to it and I think you will thoroughly enjoy it as well. 🎄 ALSO be sure to GET tickets and have them with you. I know that can be a bit frustrating. But this is such a popular event, they have had to strictly enforce this for the safety of all the volunteers AND all the visitors, to ensure a fun and safe visit and a Merry Christmas event for all. 😀
Pebble Creek Drive – Right Next Door
And by the by, after you leave Bayside’s Adventure campus, if it’s December 1 or later, you might check out Rocklin’s Pebble Creek Drive. It’s one of many great streets throughout our Roseville Rocklin area that is renown for it’s awesome Christmas lights! You can read more about it by clicking —>>> here (which includes info on past Christmases for Pebble Creek and Bayside Adventure) and here (which has this year’s info for Pebble Creek) Two good tips from Roseville Today – “Once entering the street for viewing, many drivers turn down headlights as a courtesy to vehicles traveling in the opposite direction. Note: Weekdays are best as weekend become are extremely crowded.”
Here’s their Facebook page with good info as well – https://www.facebook.com/PebbleCreekLights/ –
AND if you want to see more lights – here’s a great resource.

Downtown Roseville Christmas Events 2022

Among the many annual holiday events we enjoy in Roseville, our Downtown Roseville Holiday Celebration with our Downtown Roseville Tree Grove and Downtown Roseville Tree Lighting are among my favorites. And not JUST because I once won an award for a Christmas tree I entered in the Tree Grove contest 😁 (Although I will admit, that is STILL one of my favorite memories as you can tell from the photo above! 😁 ❤️)
Downtown Roseville Holiday Celebration Schedule

Gingerbread House Contest – Come to our lovely Civic Center at 311 Vernon Street to see all the lovely gingerbread creations that will be there from November 30 – December 10 for our annual gingerbread house contest. And be sure to vote for your favorite! AND if you aren’t able to make it down there in person, no worries. You can enjoy seeing them online as well and vote online too! Although, as they point out, “we must warn you though…while a picture may say a thousand words, they can’t completely capture the beauty of this year’s gingerbread houses.” 😀

Roseville’s 10th Annual Tree Grove and holiday festivities (with almost as many activities as December 1 😉 ) will be on the Town Square, Wednesday, November 30th, from 6 – 7:30pm. But if you can’t make it right away, no worries – viewing of the trees and holiday music continues nightly through 12/8. Local businesses, organizations and schools decorate the trees in the Square earlier on the 30th, then they are judged and the prizes are awarded during the festivities. Much fun, indeed!

The City’s Christmas tree is officially lit on the Square. You can experience an old fashion celebration with plenty of holiday cheer including decorating cookies, visiting Santa, kids activity zone, music, food and celebration. The weather is even forecasted for some snow!!!!” Faux REALS! 😉. This is held on Thursday, 12/1/22 from 6pm – 8pm with the actual lighting of the tree at about 6:10 pm. Though I would come early to make sure you aren’t late as there will be LOTS of people, traffic, etc.

Now it’s time to discover more fun Roseville Christmas events 2022 in the next few days – featuring our awesome firefighters in Roseville CA!
Roseville Neighborhood Santa
Santa is visiting neighborhoods on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings December 6-15, 2022. They will start on the route at 6:00pm each night. They anticipate each route will run 1 to 1.5 hours and, as always, all visits are weather permitting. (Look for updates on the Roseville Parks, Recreation & Events Facebook page – Facebook.com/RosevilleParks by 5pm on each evening for changes due to weather.) With so many cute kiddos out there, Santa will not be able to visit with children one on one during his neighborhood tour. And, of course, he can’t make every neighborhood either (we are a gorgeous and growing city 😉). But some of the neighborhood associations are planning on gathering near one of the stops so be sure to check with yours for a fun gathering. If not or in addition, you and your neighbors could also do something similar on your own. Pack a thermos of hot coco and a bag of cookies and head to a stop near you and HAVE FUN.
Roseville Neighborhood Santa Schedule:
- Tuesday, December 6 – Blue Oaks and Maidu/South Cirby neighborhoods
- Wednesday, December 7 – Highland Reserve and Fiddyment Farms
- Thursday, December 8 – Roseville Heights/Los Cerritos and Woodcreek Oaks neighborhoods
- Tuesday, December 13 – Folsom Road/Cherry Glen and Foothills/Junction neighborhoods
- Wednesday, December 14 – Cirby Side/Cirby Ranch and Stoneridge neighborhoods
- Thursday, December 15 – Historic Sierra Vista and Westpark neighborhoods
