Enjoy Railroad Memories LIVE

Sacramento train museum has cool train excursions - fun things to do and add to our Sacramento Roseville area news 4-26-24
This is NOT one of their engines but according to Chatgpt, it’s very similar to theirs. – and if you click on it, you will get to see THEIRS … 😀
Did you know that the California State Railroad Museum offers lovely excursion train rides along the river in vintage train cars? You can enjoy a scenic, 50-minute ride along the Sacramento River and sit back in luxury and air-conditioned comfort as you are served refreshments in first class style. Each operating day they will be pulling one of their three elegant first class cars along the route. Learn about these cool first class cars and more! Shopping Changes for Our Roseville Area

Do you like Bohemian clothes? If so you’ll be happy to hear this news! Los Angeles-based Johnny Was has opened the doors to its new store in the Fountains at Roseville at 1013 Galleria Blvd., Suite 180. reports that the store, is “advertised  as a one-stop shop for Bohemian fashion. Johnny Was’ wares are designed for a last-minute beach trip or a planned look for an event.”
TJ Maxx, at 1850 Douglas Blvd in East Roseville, is one of my favorite shopping centers with so many interesting stores including Fleet Feet for shoes (including my Hoka Arahi shoes – great for arthritis in the feet), Lakeshore Learning Center (fun and engaging educational resources kids and grandkids love – mine all have!), Panera Bread (YUMMMMMMM), and Aqua-Tots Swim School which is due to open in August. And SOON, this shopping center will have another store opening – around June-July.  The Bead N Crystal will move there (from their current location in the Rocky Ridge Town Center), and change their name to Sacramento Crystal Co.

Shopping Changes for Roseville Citrus Heights and Rocklin Areas

Pinkberry, creator of lovely and yummy frozen yogurt delights, appears to be coming to Roseville’s Nugget Plaza at 781 Pleasant Grove Blvd., Suite 190., along with so many of my faves including Panda Express, Mod Pizza, Del Taco, and, of course, the Nugget Market as well. PLUS it is also coming to The Sunrise Village, 5437 Sunrise Blvd., Suite C,  Citrus Heights where they also enjoy The Habit Burger Grill, Teriyaki To Go, Joann Fabric and Crafts, Olive Garden, Starbucks, Sourdough & Co., Firehouse Subs, and more…” according to the Sacramento Business Journal. (Hmmmm – Now I’m making myself hungry! How about you? 😄)

Sad news for Sacramento and happy news for Rocklin – Good Day Sacramento reports that “Sacramento’s lone Cracker Barrel location has permanently closed, the restaurant chain confirmed on Tuesday.” BUT that is the one on Howe. “Five other Cracker Barrel locations remain open in California, the company says, including the one in Rocklin.” I know that will put smiles on many faces!

And by the way, I know it’s WAYYYYY early, but when researching this story, I discovered THIS video at Youtube about the ROCKLIN Cracker Barrel AND their fully prepped Thanksgiving Feast you can purchase to go for YOUR Thanksgiving Feast at home in November. So if that intrigues you, be sure to save this post for November as I would imagine they will be repeating this option every year. 😄🍗🦃
