Spring and Easter Fun Things To Do In Roseville CA Area

Thank you for sharing...

Think Spring Activities

Hooray! It’s Spring 2023 and, in addition to the Easter fun things to do in Roseville CA area, I’ve got lots of other fun spring activities as well to share. First –  the SacBee has a great article with a ton of spring fun things to do in the Roseville Sacramento area, including Farmers’ Markets.

I was thrilled to see they spotlighted Denio’s Market for its great Farmer’s Market on the weekends. But in addition, the Mahany Park Farmer’s Market has been going every Sunday EVEN in the rain. I know, because I drive by it on my way to church and I’m always so impressed at the number of vendors who show up at 8:00 am! I’m a wuss – that rain hits, I’d be out of there. And I don’t think they have as many as normal. When there is no rain there are a TON of vendor tents. It’s located in front of the Library and Fitness Center located at 1545 Pleasant Grove Blvd, Roseville, CA 95747.

Also, don’t forget the Fountains Farmer’s Market – they are open RAIN or SHINE as well. They only have to close when winds are 20 mph or more! 😱

There is also a year round Farmers Market in Lincoln at Fowler’s Ranch.  And Citrus Heights enjoys a year round option at the Sunrise Mall parking lot in front of Macy’s!

Lots of great fresh veggie options now and many more to come as we get closer to summer!

Rocklin Restaurant Intrigue

BarnBurner, a beloved restaurant for brunch has been sold. It will soon become the new location for Hot Off The Griddle, which also specializes in breakfast and brunch at its other two locations at 8800 Greenback Lane, Orangevale and 1583 West El Camino Ave Ste 103, Sacramento. The owners of BarnBurner — located at 4800 Granite Drive, Suite 1B , in Rocklin recently announced that April 8 will be the restaurant’s final day. And Hot Off The Griddle wrote that “We will post opening date as we get closer to it!” Their Facebook page is @HotOffTheGriddle.

And for fans of BarnBurner – there is hope. They recently posted that,

BarnBurner may be back in Rocklin or the surrounding area

Isn’t THAT interesting! 😊 It’s definitely got me intrigued. If you are too, you can follow them on Facebook by CLICKING HERE.

SF Eater is reporting that Folsom’s Julian’s Patisserie and Cafe, which appears to be famous for their cinnamon rolls, fruit tarts, and cream puffs, will be opening a pastry shop in the Eureka Ridge Plaza in Roseville. Pastry Nouveau will be serving up fresh pastries and coffee from Kingdom Coffee Roasters. It appears, though, that they will not be serving sandwiches, sadly (that’s what I enjoy when running errands 😊).  I do love cream puffs, as well, though! I may have to give them a try – just don’t tell my weight scale! 😀 I wonder if they look like these? YUMMMMMMY!

Cool Crafty News

Bliss Marketplace which is in Rancho Cordova and Midtown Bliss Home & Gifts which, as its name indicates, is located in Midtown Sacramento are two businesses that specialize in local vintage and specialty goods, as well as handmade goods by local crafters and artisans.  The owners, Sydnei Kelly and her mother, Stacy Tomlinson, are now planning to open a third vintage and specialty goods business in Roseville CA.

According to Sacramento Business Journal, “Bliss Market, the new store will be at 390 Roseville Square in the Roseville Square shopping center. Kelly said the Roseville store will be approximately 7,400 square feet.” They will actually be open the most of the three stores, “The Roseville store will expand its hours to Tuesday through Sunday weekly, and can accommodate 133 vendors.” But if it interests you to become one of the vendors, don’t wait. They already have half of the vendors booked in this new location where you can also find Trader Joe, Once Upon a Child, and other interesting stores!

It looks like, based on  Google Maps, that its new address might only be one store away from one of my favorite stores when shopping for my grandkids, Once Upon A Child. Couple that with Trader Joes, makes me a happy camper! I do love one-stop-shopping!

And wow! Check it out! Google is already showing them there! Very cool!

I believe this is the owner of Bliss Market who is checking out their soon-to-come new location in Roseville Square near Once Upon A Child and Trader Joe’s!

I  remember a cute craft store that used to be in the shopping center off Melody Lane where Susie’s Country Oaks Cafe is located. My senior mom and I loved shopping there! This sounds very similar and I am definitely looking forward to it opening at the end of April!
