Summer Movie Fun In the Park in Roseville CA
Starting TOMORROW, you can enjoy summer movie fun under the stars for FREE twice a month in June, July, and August. We can thank RCONA (Roseville Coalition of Neighborhood Associations), of which I am a proud volunteer, for this fun treat.
Tomorrow night, you can enjoy The Secret Life of Pets at Jack Wallace Park At Cresthaven, starting at 7:30 pm. The rest of the schedule of movies for the summer is:
- June 24 –Â Saugstad Park, 100 Buljan Drive – Jungle Book
- July 8 – H.C. Elliott Park, 1421 Cushendall Drive – Pete’s Dragon
- July 22 – Maidu Park, 1550 Maidu Drive – Moana
- Aug. 12 – Buljan Park,  150 Hallissy Drive – Lego Batman Movie
- Aug. 26 – Mel Hamel Park,  10080 Crocker Ranch Road – Beauty and the Beast (subject to release)
In addition to these fun and FREE movies, you can enjoy a chance to win the evening’s movie by buying raffle tickets for $1 or you can buy 6 for $5. The drawing will be held just before the movie starts each evening. Be sure to bring chairs or a blanket to sit on. Also, enjoy a picnic if you’d like. You can either bring your own food or buy food, beverages and other refreshments that will be available for purchase. And not only that. You can bring your own shirt for tie dye for $3.
The fun generally begins about 7:30. The movies are shown on a HUGE blow-up movie screen. Or course, you can always come early and enjoy playing on the playground, tossing a frisbee or ball around, play board games, or just enjoy visiting with friends and neighbors. Speaking of which, be sure to TELL YOUR NEIGHBORS about this fun opportunity. Especially when the movie is near your home. 🙂 (No pets, tho, I’m afraid 😉 ).
Roseville’s Friday Flicks Summer Movie Fun
That’s not the only FREE movie fun in town. Â The City of Roseville will have another Friday Flicks in August. They will be showing Rogue One on Friday, August 18, 2017, starting at 8pm in the Downtown Square. Again, bring a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy a fun movie under the stars! And yes, there will be concessions available for purchase for that movie as well.
Summer Weather Fun
As you might guess, for all these movies, it’s WEATHER PERMITTING. Hopefully, this summer, the weather will be smooth sailing. Then again, it just rained YESTERDAY. Yowzer. Time will tell. Still and all, plenty of sun, fun, and stars here in Roseville CA.

P.S. Of course, we have tons of regular movie theaters in our area as well. 🙂
