Downtown Roseville California

Downtown Tuesday is back In Roseville California! Per Downtown Roseville’s Facebook page, The weekly Tuesday evening events have started and will run  through July 25, 2023 from 5:30 pm – 9 pm (except the 4th of July). So June 27 is the next one! Click here for more details.

And for Downtown Roseville visitors as well as Roseville neighbors living in the nearby areas close to our downtown area – there’s a cool new “Downtown Roseville EShuttle Service. “The service will ferry passengers back and forth between Downtown Roseville and Old Roseville per designated pick-up and drop-off locations. It will also pick up and drop off passengers in adjacent neighborhoods via a phone app developed specifically for Downtown Roseville. This service is free to the general public and is completely funded by the Downtown Roseville Partnership.”  Very cool! Click here for days, schedules, a bigger map, and more info.

Join in the fun on the 4th of July with Crimestoppers annual “Run Crime Out of Roseville.” Per the Crimestoppers site, “Join us on the 4th of July for our Annual Run Crime Out of Roseville where you can match your speed against the Roseville Police Department in a 5K race! And once again this year, your kids can compete against our officers in a 1/4 mile!” For full details and to register, click here.

Interesting Updates for Roseville California

ABC 10 has the latest update I have spotted regarding Roseville’s Blue Oaks Retail Center and where it stands (this is the one where Chick-fil-A and Dutch Bros are planning stores.) “Per the City’s spokesperson, “The developer is currently working on getting civil plan approval for frontage improvements and site work.” See the video and get more info by clicking here.

And by the way – on the same page as the link above, but further down the page, it mentioned that there are 2 more of those flashing yellow traffic signals coming – one is at PFE Road and Hilltop Circle. There will also be one on northbound Fiddyment Road & Hayden Parkway coming in July. I have to admit, I’m not fond of them but it’s good to know where to expect them. 😊

NEW Restaurants Coming to Roseville

And YAY! I am REALLY looking forward to checking out another new restaurant coming in 2023! Writing at Yahoo, Molly Jarone shared that there’s a new franchise restaurant specializing in taquitos  that will open its newest location at 920 Pleasant Grove Blvd. (in the Panera eating area) in Roseville later this year! Apparently Roll-Em-Up Taquitos is famous for its made-to-order taquitos with corn or flour tortillas, braised beef, citrus-marinated chicken or potatoes with green chilies. Of course, as with many restaurants, they come topped with with cheese and UNLIKE many restaurants, they will be served with a variety of house-made sauces. I have to admit, I am a total taquito geek – errr snob?!?!?! I was raised on the taquitos at Olvera street in Southern California and have never found anything as good as them. That being said, I do also love El Azteca’s taquitos with a yummy creamy guacamole – my second favorite. I’m SO hopeful this place with be a sweet addition to my mental collection of taquito favorites. What do YOU think?
