Super Bowl and Roseville CA Fun
Super Bowl 2018! It’s close! There is a flurry of excitement and activities going on about it here in Roseville CA. My kids are looking forward to fun things to do like eat good food, visit with friends, and watch a great game. My church is looking forward to fun festivities at each service. And I’m looking forward to enjoying a cute commercial or three.
Super Bowl and Roseville
Did you know that THIS YEAR’S SUPER BOWL is only 9 MINUTES FROM ROSEVILLE!!! It’s true – look!
Of course, once you look closely, you realize it’s close to Roseville, MN. Did you know there are at least 15 Rosevilles in America? Not to mention the Roseville in Algeria, in the Bahamas, in Australia, and more.
There’s also a Roseville in Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, North Dakota, Michigan, Kentucky, and more… The Roseville in Minnesota and the Roseville in Michigan seem to be the ones that pop up the most when I’m working on writing or real estate projects. All of those Rosevilles are the reason you see me using CA and Calif and California sooooo much. So that GOOGLE knows which Roseville I’m talking about. (And we all know, Google rules! Well, they think they do, anyway.) So to make sure things get to all y’all Roseville CA peep rather than confusing Minnesota, Michigan, and other peep, I throw those California names in liberally. (And now you know why I capitalized the California in the photo at the top as well.) 🙂
Special Super Bowl History Facts for Roseville CA
Another intriguing connection to the Super Bowl 2018 located near Roseville and our OWN Roseville CA is Tedy Bruschi who graduated from Roseville CA High School and went on to play for the Patriots. Bruschi won three Super Bowls and was a two-time All-Pro selection. Especially encouraging to many, he was named the 2005 NFL Comeback Player of the Year. That year, shortly after winning in the 2005 Super Bowl, he suffered a stroke. Working hard, he was able to make his way back to full recovery and play again! Very cool!
A Smattering of Local Super Bowl Happenings
I’m sure there are tons of local Super Bowl 2018 Sunday and weekend fun happenings going on all around Roseville and the surrounding Sacramento area. Here are a couple of my faves:
Bayside Blue Oaks (And I believe all the Bayside campuses) are enjoying a Super Tailgate party! YOU can help determine who will win the Super Bowl by supporting your favorite team and competing in games like the football toss, corn hole, and a drift trike race. There will be food, fun and friendly competition before and after all services. Service times are:
- Blue Oaks Saturday 4:45 and Sunday 9:15 & 11:15
- Adventure – Tailgate will take place around weekend service times. Saturday 5:15pm and Sunday 8:30am & 10:30am
