Happy Thanksgiving 2022

If you haven’t yet picked up the supplies you need for Thanksgiving, I’d get going now. The stores were LOW on items last Thursday but I heard more was coming in that would be dated thru the holiday so that’s good news. I didn’t want to chance it though, for my pies, so I picked up a fresh pumpkin pie dated thru this coming Friday at Raley’s AND a frozen Apple Hill Marionberry pie at Nugget Markets that I’ll warm up/cook on Thanksgiving! 😊

And for those of you joining in on the Roseville Turkey Trot, it sounds like it will be a great morning – as it’s sold out! Have FUN ! Don’t forget to pick up your packet (and drop off your perishable food donation(s) on Tuesday and Wednesday. Click here for details.

I love their annual gardening calendars from UC Master Gardeners of Placer County that they carry and am very excited it will be so handy for me! New Traffic Signal +

Last but NOT least, we have a new traffic signal in Roseville, with another one slated for the same area early next year. Roseville has installed and started operating a new signal at Taylor Road at the Sunsplash entrance! The SECOND signal will be installed in the opposite direction when a new Golfland Sunsplash parking lot opens across the street in Spring 2023.
PLEASE NOTE – Both of these signals will feature a flashing yellow left-turn arrow to reduce wait times when traffic is clear. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL – this can be a bit confusing if you haven’t dealt with these types of signals and I’ve heard of several close calls locally and have a loved one in another state who had an accident the first time they used a similar signal.
Per their website, it’s vital to note that – “when a yellow arrow flashes, you are allowed to cautiously enter the intersection to make your left turn after yielding to oncoming traffic, including pedestrians and bicyclists.” BUT REMEMBER, “oncoming traffic has a green light. When the pedestrian button is activated, the signal will switch to protected (green arrow) left turns only. “
